The early stage of dating can make almost anyone seem attentive. The more revealing period comes when life becomes busy, and the novelty starts to fade.
Does he still treat you with respect? Does he remember the things that matter to you? Does he make an effort without needing to be chased? Does he handle small disagreements without suddenly becoming distant?
That is when interest becomes easier to judge.
Someone can genuinely like you and still not want a committed relationship. Attraction, affection and compatibility are not automatically the same as readiness.
So instead of asking only, “Does he like me?” look at the bigger question: “Is he making choices that show he wants to build something with me?”
Sometimes, that tells you everything you need to know.
