The Chennai promotional event for Dulquer Salmaan’s upcoming action thriller ‘I’m Game’ turned into a lively gathering as the film’s cast and crew shared their experiences. Antony Varghese on missing ‘Master’ role: ‘I still regret it’
One of the highlights of the event was Antony Varghese speaking about his admiration for Vijay and revealing that he had once missed an opportunity to be part of ‘Master.’ “I am a big fan of Vijay sir. The character played by Arjun Das in ‘Master’ was first offered to me. But I was committed to another film at that time and could not take it up. I still regret missing that opportunity. Now Vijay sir has become Chief Minister, so I feel even sadder that I may not get a chance to act with him,” Antony said. His candid statement quickly drew attention among fans.

The actor also spoke warmly about his first major promotional event in Chennai for one of his own films. “I have come to Chennai many times, but this is the first time I am here to promote a film I have acted in. I hope Tamil audiences will support me,” he said. Antony described director Nahas Hidayath as a close friend and praised producer and co-star Dulquer Salmaan as both a good friend and a good human being. He also joked that, unlike some of the tough characters he plays on screen, he is an innocent person in real life. Antony said he strongly believes ‘I’m Game’ has the potential to become a big success.
