Inspired by Mount Everest, the world’s highest mountain, this gender-neutral name is a natural choice for parents drawn to grand landscapes and ambitious beginnings. The mountain was named after British surveyor Sir George Everest, rather than deriving from a word meaning mountain. As a given name, however, it carries associations of endurance, determination and reaching great heights.
