The cheerful Singapore Daisy with its bright yellow flowers could be seen as a good ground cover plant but the plant has the tendency to take over wherever it spreads. Although it was used as a garden plant because of its attractive flowers and rapid growth, it has been invading several places in India, including Kerala, Karnataka and Maharashtra. It has been reported that this plant can invade wastelands, roadsides, forests and riverbanks by forming dense interconnected mats after spreading aggressively.
