India eye another gold
A victory on Tuesday would further underline India’s supremacy in the region. The Harmanpreet Kaur-led side had also beaten Sri Lanka in the Asia Cup final earlier this month.
Sri Lanka have beaten India in the past, but India have widened the gap in recent years and will start the final with considerable momentum.
Sri Lanka booked their place in the final after a strong chase against Pakistan, with captain Chamari Athapaththu playing a starring role.
The experienced opener smashed a sublime 50-ball 82 to help Sri Lanka get over the line in a challenging chase.
