India's top dating spots revealed

If there is one location that continues to hold a serious grip on India’s romantic imagination, it’s Juhu Beach.

The Mumbai staple has emerged as the single most preferred date spot in happn’s entire study. Honestly, it’s pretty easy to see why it keeps winning hearts. Golden hour sunsets, the steady sound of crashing waves, and a casual stroll down the shoreline make for a genuinely great first date. No table reservations needed, no strict dress codes to stress over, and zero eye-watering bills at the end of the night.

The broader numbers back this trend up in a big way. According to happn, over 60% of all preferred date spots across India are outdoors, with major metros like Mumbai, Delhi, and Kolkata showing a huge bias toward open-air environments.

Sometimes, all a date really needs is a gorgeous sunset and a long walk.

Over in Bengaluru, the massive greenery of Cubbon Park takes the lead for outdoor spots. Up north in Delhi, the sprawling lawns of Lodhi Garden and the historic India Gate complex top the list. Clearly, a classic “hey, want to grab a coffee and go for a walk?” text is still the ultimate winning strategy.

Kolkata brings its own unique, deeply romantic vibe to the data. Picturesque spots like Prinsep Ghat, the lush Victoria Memorial grounds, and Rabindra Sarobar Lake all made the cut. Then there’s Nandan, which stands out as the only dedicated art, film, and theater landmark featured across the entire nationwide survey.
