Ravi Teja starrer ‘Irumudi’ continued to attract audiences during its second week in theatres. The movie registered a strong jump in its domestic earnings on Saturday. Its Day 9 collection was higher than the figure recorded on Friday.According to Sacnilk, ‘Irumudi’ earned an estimated Rs 12.30 crore net in India on Day 9. The movie was screened across 2,733 shows. Its total India net collection has now reached Rs 114.55 crore.The India gross collection currently stands at Rs 133 crore. The movie has also generated Rs 19.50 crore in overseas gross earnings. This has taken the worldwide gross collection of ‘Irumudi’ to Rs 152.50 crore.The Day 9 figure represents a 21.8% rise from the Rs 10.10 crore net collection recorded on Day 8. The movie had earned Rs 6.90 crore on Day 7. Its first-week collection stood at Rs 92.15 crore.

‘Irumudi’ language-wise collection

The Telugu version collected Rs 12.29 crore net on Day 9. The collection came from 2,702 shows. The version recorded 71% overall occupancy. The Tamil version contributed Rs 1 lakh. It registered 16% occupancy across 31 shows.The Telugu release recorded strong audience turnout throughout the day. Its overall occupancy stood at 66.98%. Morning shows recorded 44.23%. Afternoon occupancy reached 64.54%. Evening shows registered 76.85%. Night shows performed the strongest at 82.31%.

‘Irumudi’ Day 9 occupancy report

The Saturday figures indicate an impressive improvement in audience turnout. The Telugu version recorded its highest occupancy during the night shows. Night screenings registered 82.31% occupancy. Evening shows also saw strong footfall at 76.85%. Afternoon shows recorded 64.54%.Morning occupancy stood at 44.23%. The overall occupancy for the Telugu version was 66.98%.The stronger turnout helped ‘Irumudi’ record a 21.8% increase over its previous day’s collection. The movie added Rs 12.30 crore to its India net total on Saturday.

‘Irumudi’ state-wise box office collection

Andhra Pradesh and Telangana remained the key markets for ‘Irumudi’ on Day 9. The two states together generated Rs 12.75 crore in gross earnings.Karnataka contributed Rs 1.15 crore. Tamil Nadu added Rs 15 lakhs. Kerala recorded Rs 1 lakh. The remaining regions contributed Rs 24 lakhs. The total gross collection from these markets stood at Rs 14.30 crore on Saturday.

Director and writer Shiva Nirvana recently spoke about Ravi Teja and the response to ‘Irumudi’ during a conversation with NDTV.Shiva Nirvana said, “Ravi Teja garu has done 77 films over a career of 25 years. Everyone is bound to have hit films and average films. Even for me, Ninnu Kori was a hit and Kushi was average, and now Irumudi is a blockbuster.
