In a detailed Instagram story, she reminded critics that she had a full life and career long before Arshdeep came into the picture. She revealed that she’s been working and earning her own money since the age of 17, taking care of herself both professionally and financially.
Having travelled to over 20 countries, she had already built a life she genuinely loved, with or without a relationship status attached to her name.
“The more I see the world, the more I realise how hypocritical people on social media can be. If you hide your man, you’re apparently not proud of him enough. If you love him loudly, you’re doing it for fame,” she noted.
She also shared how fortunate she feels to have crossed paths with someone who makes her genuinely happy and brings a sense of completeness to her life. And no, she has no plans to stop sharing glimpses of that happiness just to appease online critics.
“I am incredibly lucky to have found someone I genuinely wish I’d met earlier. Someone who completes me in ways I don’t owe anyone an explanation for. I’ll post about myself, him and us because that’s my life,” she added.
The actor also admitted that it is particularly frustrating to see other women leading the online hate. Moving forward, she made it clear that she and her team would be blocking anyone bringing their personal baggage into her comments section.
