Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are reportedly considering a private apology to members of the royal family over comments made during their explosive 2021 interview with Oprah Winfrey.

According to a report in the Daily Express, the couple now regret parts of the interview and want to have a private conversation with Prince William and Catherine, Princess of Wales, as they look towards repairing relations with the family.

But there is an important caveat. The report is based on an unnamed source, and there has been no public confirmation from Meghan, Harry, William, Kate or the royal household that such a meeting has been agreed to or is even being arranged.

The report comes at a significant time for the Sussexes. Harry and Meghan returned to Britain with their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, in 2026 after several years living in California. The couple have not returned as working royals.
