Pakistani-American writer Wajahat Ali’s clip mocking Indian-origin Vivek Ramaswamy and Kash Patel during his election commentary for Zeteo went viral as many enjoyed the sharp criticism while the rest did not like the embedded racism. Ali was offering his comments on Vivek Ramaswamy’s defeat in Ohio as he was joined by Mehdi Hasan and Prem Thakker. As Ali inanimatedly mocked Vivek and also rolled his eyes as he referred to Kash Patel, Hasan and Thakker could not control their laughs. In the viral clip, recorded at a Michigan Democrats 2026 election night event, Ali said: “We all grew up with a Vivek and a Kash Patel. Vivek and Kash Patels were those nerdy, dorky guys who desperately tried to be on the varsity football team but nobody picked them. They picked them last. They were nerds. They wanted Jennifer to date them. Jennifer said, ‘You’re a dork; I’m never going to date you’. And they sat there and said, ‘One of these days, I’m going to make a lot of money and I’m going to have sex with a white woman.““So Vivek Ramaswamy made a lot of money. He frauded out with his family, did a pump and dump scheme, got that little poof hair. And he thought the Whites would take him. Fair and Lovely cream. But the Whites will never ever accept Vivek Ramaswamy,” Ali said.As Vivek conceded his defeat to Democratic Amy Acton, Ramaswamy said: “… I have confidence that sometimes these things happen for a reason. God has a plan. We’re His instruments, and I still believe that in the fullness of time, our state’s best days and our country’s best days will still yet be ahead of us. This is the greatest country known to the history of mankind…”. His wife Apoorva Ramaswamy was seen standing by his side, in tears.Hindu American Foundation’s Suhag A Shukla condemned Ali’s comment. “In Wajahat’s sick, misogynist framing, white women are a prize for brown people and Indian American “conservatism” is motivated by desire for white acceptance and white women. They think we don’t see that these guys are literally making fun of brown people for the acceptance of white liberal elites,” she said.
Nick Fuentes cheers as Ramaswamy loses: ‘One-way ticket back to Delhi’
Nick Fuentes cheered as he watched Vivek Ramaswamy lose the election. “We’re sending Vivek Ramaswamy with a one-way ticket back to Delhi,” Fuentes said.Fuentes, a far-right white nationalist and leader of the Groyper movement, has repeatedly targeted Ramaswamy because he is of Indian origin. Although Ramaswamy was born in Cincinnati, Ohio, to Indian immigrant parents, Fuentes has questioned his claim to American identity. In December 2024, a major debate erupted within Trump’s MAGA movement over H-1B visas. Elon Musk and other technology leaders supported bringing skilled foreign workers to the US, while a section of Trump’s supporters opposed the programme, arguing that it took jobs away from Americans.Fuentes was among those opposing immigration and the presence of foreign workers, particularly Indians.Ramaswamy entered the debate with a controversial argument: he said American culture had celebrated mediocrity over excellence and needed to value academic achievement and technical skills more. His remarks triggered an enormous backlash, including anti-Indian attacks on social media. In December 2025, Ramaswamy again questioned the Groypers. “If you believe in normalizing hatred toward any ethnic group — toward Whites, toward Blacks, toward Hispanics, toward Jews, toward Indians, you have no place in the future of the conservative movement,” he said. Fuentes declared war on Ramaswamy’s Ohio governor campaign.
